Found a cool testimony from a Japanese woman who uses the analogy of God being the artist and us being his masterpieces - if his artworks (us people) are hurt or criticized, God the artist feels the pain too. If we are celebrated and people recognize our good design (like skills and natural talents) God feels happy too! And if we're still a work in progress, things can seem messy - but trust the process, it's going to be beautiful (as long as we let him have control!). Just like we make art for a purpose, to send a message or express something about us, the artist, - God also makes each one of us with a purpose, a specific plan to show something important, or show us something about himself. One of the biggest things God shows is his forgiveness! He has definitely shown it in my life. I've messed up a lot but I go to God with repentance and he doesn't hold it against me.
